Urinary Tract Infection
This is for you if:
You’re biologically female.
You have burning or pain with urination, increased urinary frequency, and/or see blood in the urine.
Your symptoms are less than 1 week.
You don’t have fever (100.4F or higher) or chills.
You don’t have flank pain (kidney pain).
You don’t have a history of multi-drug resistant UTIs.
There’s no vaginal irritation going on.
You’re not currently pregnant.
In addition to antibiotics, you’re interested in an integrative approach to treating the UTI and preventing future ones.
Please have ready:
Photo of your driver’s license/ID card - front only.
Photos of your health insurance card - front and back.
Your pharmacy information.
Your list of meds and supplements.
Important:
If you don’t fit the above criteria, you should be seen IRL at a local urgent care or at your PCP’s office.
We do not treat biological male UTIs online. Male UTIs are considered a complicated UTI, which warrants an evaluation with your PCP or local urgent care.
The doctor may order a urine test in some cases, which can be done at a local Quest lab. Do not start any empiric UTI treatment until AFTER you’ve given a urine sample.
