The Lean Edit

One size doesn’t fit everyone.

Weight loss.

That’s a tough one for many.

What you really mean is fat loss, especially the metabolically damaging visceral fat - the “bad fat” that’s putting a damper on your internal organs.

But why is it so tough to shed excessive fat?

Truth: It’s a complicated question with complicated answers. Well, because humans are complicated.

There's so many variables:

Lifestyle, food quality, mental health, relationship with food, low-grade inflammation, chronic stress, maladaptive habits, gut issues, sleep deprivation, autoimmune thyroid issues, insulin resistance, leptin resistance, high cortisol, unresolved trauma, obesogenic exposures, cultural norms, and the list can go on. There’s a lot to unpack.

That’s why “magic pills” and crazy diets end with rebound weight gain. And why the struggle remains real.

We have a different approach.

We’re here to help you identify and simplify.

Let’s look for and address your potential root causes, examine the possible variables holding you back, upgrade your self-care foundations with the help of genomic analysis. And, if you’re eligible, what if you could get jump-started with the help of temporary weight loss medications?

The key is not doing “everything and anything” (who has time for that?) but to lean into the food and movement that your body is genetically inclined to, practice little “edits” to your lifestyle foundations, and to leverage the tools available to you to break through the resistance to fat loss, while aiming to preserve and build strong lean muscle.

Now, in total transparency, The Lean Edit is not for individuals with eating disorders or have disordered eating, orthorexic tendencies, or body dysmorphic disorder. It’s recommended that you work with a HAES® therapist and/or nutritionist instead.

Weight loss medications are available for eligible candidates who have been evaluated with The Foundations x Lean Audit. Even if you’re not eligible for GIP/GLP-1 prescriptions, we’ve got other options for you in your personalized Lean Edit.
